Review

The Cadence of Gypsies (Book 1 of The F.I.G. Mysteries)by Barbara Casey was an intriguing mystery filled with magic that managed to hold my attention for the whole book. My only complaint was the speed of the plot which I personally felt moved just a bit too slowly, but then I have always been a fan of a faster plot. Carolina Lovel easily became my favorite character because of her strong personality, her willingness to work with others, and her determination to solve the mystery of the letter left by her birth mother!  The speed of the plot aside I did find the book to be an enjoyable read and I do plan to read the second book in the series next which is called The Wish Rider.
